Club Kaboom Volleyball, Inc. is a small non-profit organization created to provide affordable training to prepare athletes for participation in USA Volleyball juniors' competitions and the pursuit of collegiate volleyball careers.  

Founded in 2005, Club Kaboom was started by Shafonia Sumrall and Joseph Bolaņos and is currently owned and operated by Shafonia.  Shafonia has played for over 20 years and coached with different juniors' programs around the city and surrounding areas for almost 15 years as well.  

Shafonia believes in motivating athletes to always try their very best and to strive for their absolute goals.  Having had many different obstacles to overcome in her childhood and adolescent years, she feels that it is important for kids to learn to persevere and persist.  At Club Kaboom, the hope is that a child can learn more than just great volleyball skills - the hope is that each child might also learn a life lesson or two. 

Shafonia takes great pride in helping girls to find collegiate opportunities and will go to great lengths to make sure the girls are able to explore such opportunities, even to the point of driving or flying an athlete to a tryout if necessary.

Shafonia does not believe that club ball should be about how much money one can make...instead, it should be about helping girls and teaching them great volleyball and life skills just the same. 

Club Kaboom is the club for you if you are willing to give 110% each and every time you walk into the gym for practice and are willing to play your heart out each and every time you step on the court for a game!
